Financial Management

Summer employees in financial management deal with calculation, invoicing and settlement. Specific duties may include external invoicing of customer companies, balancing, monthly limit control and monitoring reporting, invoicing of premiums, payment transactions, and insurance companies’ securities accounting and reports to the authorities.

That is, we have plenty and varying summer job opportunities that are suitable for students of financial management at different stages of their studies.

Career story

“For two summers now I have worked as an Accounting Assistant in OP’s Financial Management department in the Securities and Real Estate team. The experience has been interesting and challenging. My duties have included bookkeeping, reporting and even some property-related tasks. I have been given a lot of responsibility, especially in reporting, and I have been pleased to see how much people trust a summer worker.

There were nine people working in our Securities and Real Estate team, and our team spirit was great. I especially liked how pleased my co-workers were to help me in problematic situations, and how I became part of the team immediately.

My summer job at OP was my first job relevant to my field and it was everything I wanted: Nice and helpful co-workers and highly interesting duties. I learned a lot about securities and using different information systems (especially SAP and DIME). Only the cyclical nature of work took me by surprise, because most duties were concentrated on the first week of the month.

A person with a willingness and capacity to learn new things is a suitable summer worker for OP’s Financial Management department. In addition to accounting, you should have IT skills, because all work is conducted through Excel and information systems.”
